SPIRITS Museum, a partner of 8 Shires, was created to preserve and share the rich history of American distillation prior to the 19th century. SPIRITS collaborates with us in applied archaeology for the development of historical spirits formulas, operates a virtual museum where exhibitions can be viewed by anyone with an internet connection, and maintains a dedicated installation of the permanent collection on-site at our distillery.

The museum focuses on the four areas of distillation - spirits, medicine, perfume, and science - as well as fermented drinks like beer, mead, and wine to offer a multisensory experience complemented by on-site collection tours.
